Beautiful hand-made, original
Russian Fedoskino school hand-painted papier mache lacquer box. The box depicts a “Winter Troika”. It can be dated to the late 1920s – early 1930s era by the style of the stamp “Made in USSR (Russia)” on the bottom.
T
he box is in good vintage condition. The hinge works well. The paint shows signs of crazing and there are a few chips. It measures approximately 6 inches long, 4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall. When opened, it has a light odor of linseed oil, an indicator of genuine Russian lacquer boxes.
