Homemade Very Primitive Newspaper/Paper Mache doll Estate find

I know nothing about this handmade doll except that it is cleverly made and appears to be old, as the painted face is now quite faint.
The arms and legs "move" because the paper mache has been cut partially at the joints. As you can see from the photos, a pair of underwear was made to fit the doll, but the matching dress appears too large for the doll----perhaps because the doll would be difficult to dress otherwise? A "belt" has been sewn with ribbon and snaps to draw the dress in to the doll's waist.
This came from a local estate and was part of a large number of dolls this seamstress collected. Please check out my other auctions and know that I am happy to combine shipping and will always charge exactly what shipping costs me.
