Beautiful Russian folk art wooden model of Moscow's St. Basil's Cathedral made in the former Soviet Union in the 1970's-80's.
This vintage souvenir building from Russia is made of hand carved wood and intricately painted in bright lively colors in its ornate towers and swirling onion domes, making it a visual delight. The underside has the original label reading 'MADE IN USSR".
It stands 7.5” tall on a 4.5" by 4.5" base. It's in very good vintage condition, however the needles on the central tower and on one small onion dome are missing.
