WW2 German 1:1000000 Heeres-Karte (Army Map) - VERY NICE!!

Description

You are bidding on a SUPERB 1940's 1:1000000 German Heereskarte (Army Map) as used by both Fighter Pilots, Bomber Crews, and Army personnel for navigation.  This map is titled "Textoplatkarte mit Jägernetz" (Plastic Navigational Map with Hunting Network Grid), and covers the area of Krefeld, Germany.  It measures a MASSIVE 38" x 41" (96cm x 104cm) in size!  This is a vet bring-back, along with the Luftwaffe map I have on auction.
This map allowed the pilot or ground personnel to properly calculate his path.  It is made heavy laminate cloth.
Made of heavy laminate cloth, this map is in EXCELLENT condition for its age.  It measures a approx. 3 feet x 4 feet in size, and covers Germany.
Deutsche Heereskarte
is
written at the
top, and overall it includes Germany, Denmark, and parts of France with towns such as Berlin, Krefeld, Dresden, Magdeburg, Hannover, Munster, Bremen, Nurnburg, Augsburg, Nancy, and others!  It indicates
various locations of lakes, seas, towns, villages, cities, airfield, and elevations.  Also features longitude and latitude degree markings and Jägernetz Grid.
The map side was produced by the Generalstab der Heeres (OKW), and features some hand-written markings around Krefeld.  Captured by a US Army Lt. Colonel Francis C. Keith, i
t remains in SUPERB used condition, with only slight marks and wear.
