WWII German Feldpost-cottbus GD- Inf.batl. 196- Pharmacy Bag 1941. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
Feldpost COVER ONLY -no letter or content- to the family of friedrick wetjen , from Unteroffizier wetjen. He was a member of infantry reserve battalion 196 second kompanie. His unit was training in cottbus which is also the town where the famed GD division eventually had their reserve training units. The feldpost is dated June 1, 1941. One can surmise that this soldat aNd unit were preparing for unternehmen Barbarossa, the invasion of Russia which took place June 21st. The stamp and penmanship are excellent.
The bag is also original and from a Pharmacy . It had great graphics and is in good shape.
